  • DNA - Join Us!

    If you’re thinking of making Common Ground Wynberg your church home, DNA is a 2 night event where you can ask questions and meet our leaders, find out what we believe as a church, and how we live out our love for Jesus. There’s no pressure to join, just a time of discovering more.

  • KidsRock/IgNite

    In Common Ground Wynberg we are blessed with a lovely group of kids from toddlers to grade 7. They are our biggest ministry! Our passionate teachers share how the word unfolds a story of grace, the power of Jesus’ sacrifice for us and most of all how they can live out a close and personal relationship with God.

  • Frequency

    As high school draws to a close, our children prepare to leap from childhood to adulthood. We provide a place for teens to develop great godly friendships and learn more about a relationship with Jesus. Sunday mornings and Friday nights teens have a chance to journey full of faith with God into their next phase of life.

  • Gospel Message

    We believe that John 3:16 is the most life-changing, world-shaping verse in the Bible. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that we may not perish but have eternal life. This message is a thread through all we teach and do, so it can be a life-giving message for our city and nation.

OUR ELDERSHIP TEAM

  • Andre and Sabrina Ntambwe

    LEAD ELDERS

    Dynamic and hard working, Andre and Sabrina have been in South Africa from DRC/Zambia for over ten years. Added to their full-time pastoring of CG Wynberg, Andre mentors church planters up Africa and Sabrina is a qualified chef. They have three boys and three adopted girls and cherish family time.

  • Ryan and Shelly Wallace

    ELDERS

    This couple is much appreciated in this community, Ryan for his down-to-earth preaching and Shelley for her gift of warm and generous hospitality! They have two daughters and a son and are ‘marketplace’ elders - Ryan works in travel eventing and Shelley in online education.

  • Stephan and Charlotte Potgieter

    ELDERS

    This warm-hearted couple are what we call Marketplace Elders, with Stephan preaching often on a Sunday and teaches at a nearby high school. Charlotte balances being full-time mom to their young son while she studies to take her dance and ballet career further.

 

JERUSALEMA DANCE CHALLENGE

It was late 2020 when the Jerusalema Challenge called us to dance and sing that earth is not home, we wait for heaven, for Jerusalem. At many a Sunday or fun event Wynberg Church can be seen dancing - mostly to our favourite song - “I know who I am” by Sinache. So this challenge was so easy to step up to.
