This message is a thread through all we teach and do, so it can be a life-giving message for our city and nation.

KidsRock/IgNite
In Common Ground Wynberg we are blessed with a lovely group of kids from toddlers to grade 7. They are our biggest ministry! Our passionate teachers share how the word unfolds a story of grace, the power of Jesus’ sacrifice for us and most of all how they can live out a close and personal relationship with God.

DNA - Join Us!
If you’re thinking of making Common Ground Wynberg your church home, DNA is a 2 night event where you can ask questions and meet our leaders, find out what we believe as a church, and how we live out our love for Jesus. There’s no pressure to join, just a time of discovering more.

Frequency
As high school draws to a close, our children prepare to leap from childhood to adulthood. We provide a place for teens to develop great godly friendships and learn more about a relationship with Jesus. Sunday mornings and Friday nights teens have a chance to journey full of faith with God into their next phase of life.

Eric and Zuki Mtimkulu
LEAD ELDERS
Vibrant and full of life, Eric and Zuki bring fresh energy and warmth to our community. Eric leads with passion and attentiveness, always ready to listen and invest in others. He delivers powerful, faith-filled messages most Sundays, inspiring us to live out our faith with purpose. Zuki’s angelic voice and kind-hearted spirit reflect her genuine love for people, her joyful presence and welcoming smile make everyone feel at home.
Together with their three wonderful children, they lead our community with grace, faith, and wholehearted dedication.

Ryan and Shelly Wallace
ELDERS
This much-loved couple are deeply appreciated in our community. Ryan’s down-to-earth preaching and quick humour bring both laughter and insight to those around him, while Shirley’s warmth, attentiveness, and ever-present smile make everyone feel at home. Their hospitality flows naturally from their genuine love for people.
They have two daughters and a son and serve as ‘marketplace’ elders; Ryan works in travel eventing, and Shirley in online education.
Together, they oversee Doctrine, Hospitality, and Next Gen ministries within the church.

Stephan and Charlotte Potgieter
ELDERS
This warm-hearted couple serve as our Marketplace Elders. Stephan often preaches on Sundays, teaches at a nearby high school, and plays a key role in strategic partnerships with other churches. Charlotte is an organized and caring presence, balancing being a full-time mom to their three energetic boys while continuing her dance and ballet studies. Her dedication and warm-hearted spirit ensure that church events and initiatives run smoothly.
Together, they oversee Doctrine and Organisational Leadership within the church.

Grant and Kirran Edmond
ELDERS
This creative and caring couple serve on our Eldership team and are parents to two lovely children.
Grant is a thoughtful leader who helps bring clarity to complex situations, both in his professional work and within the church.
Kirran brings warmth and creativity, often adding her beautiful touch to church events. She has an eye for detail and a heart for making spaces feel welcoming and meaningful.
Together, they oversee Discipleship, Media (Worship Aspect), and the Mercy Fund.

Greg and Laura Macfarlane
ELDERS
Greg plays a key role both behind the scenes and on the frontlines of worship, ensuring the worship team runs smoothly. He is passionate about the power of entrepreneurship to drive impact, create employment, and support economic development.
Laura is an attorney at an international law firm and has a sweet, attentive presence that reflects her genuine desire for the best for everyone. They often open their home to connect personally with members of the church family and are loving parents to their son.
Together, they oversee Finances, Evangelism, and Worship within the church.
