What do you do when God calls you to love people you’d rather avoid? In this message on Jonah 1:1–7, we look at the scandal of God's grace. Called to preach to Nineveh—a brutal nation known for its violence and hostility—the prophet Jonah goes in the complete opposite direction to escape God's presence. Yet, even in open rebellion, Jonah discovers that no one can outrun the Creator.
Through a relentless storm and a pagan crew pleading for mercy, God pursues His wandering prophet, proving that His grace reaches both the unlovely and the disobedient. Join us as we explore how the story of Jonah serves as a mirror for our own hearts, challenging us to embrace God's call, love our neighbors, and trust His sovereign goodness—even when it pushes us far past our comfort zones.

Our Kids Ministry is the heartbeat of Common Ground Wynberg. From toddlers through to Grade 7, we create a space where the Word comes alive. Our mission is simple: to share the transformative power of Jesus’ sacrifice and help our children walk in a personal, life-giving relationship with God every day.

Frequency
As high school draws to a close, our children prepare to leap from childhood to adulthood. We provide a place for teens to develop great godly friendships and learn more about a relationship with Jesus. Sunday mornings and Friday nights teens have a chance to journey full of faith with God into their next phase of life.
