This past week’s message
Are you trying to navigate a world full of cultural compromises, or feeling like you need something "more" to add to your faith? In this week’s message, we dive into the opening of Paul’s letter to the Colossians—a young church facing false teachings that sought to supplement and ultimately undermine the true gospel. Writing from a Roman imprisonment, Paul reminds these believers of a profound truth: Jesus does not need to be supplemented. He is completely sufficient, and the Gospel alone holds the power to rescue, sustain, and transform our lives from the inside out.
Tune in as we unpack Paul's deep gratitude and his specific, powerful prayer for the church. Discover how genuine Christian growth produces undeniable fruit, why our ultimate hope is securely laid up in heaven, and how the Holy Spirit empowers us to walk in a manner that fully pleases the Lord—even in difficult times.
Key Takeaways From This Message
The Evidence of Growth: Genuine faith in Christ naturally produces a sacrificial, non-discriminatory love for others and is anchored by an unshakeable future hope.
The Gospel is Winning: Despite opposition, the word of truth continues to bear fruit and increase across the world. It doesn't just save us for eternity; it continually sustains and changes us daily.
Walking Worthy: Spiritual wisdom and knowledge are given so that our daily conduct mirrors Christ, bearing fruit in every good work and giving God the ultimate glory.
Delivered and Transferred: We have been rescued from the domain of darkness and permanently transferred into the kingdom of His beloved Son. Our salvation is His work from beginning to end.
Reflect & Respond: Christ does not leave us the way He found us. Is your life reflecting the transforming power of the Gospel?
New Serrmon Series: The Supremacy of Chirst in All Things
Have you ever tried to find fulfillment outside of Christ? Too often, we treat our faith as just another piece of our lives rather than the very center of it. But the Book of Colossians gives us a profound, deeply challenging look at the human heart—and the undeniable, supreme reality of Jesus.
In this new sermon series, The Supremacy of Christ in All Things, we explore what it means that Jesus is completely sufficient. Through Paul’s letter, we will discover that we don't need to look to worldly philosophies or self-effort; everything we need is already found in Him. He uses His Word to root us, His cross to reconcile us, and His resurrection to make us alive. Ultimately, this series challenges us to move past superficial religion and completely align our lives with the King who holds all creation together.
